Welcome to Hectors House Crete. Hectors House Crete a not for profit organisation. Our aim is to help stray dogs and cats from our area by providing them with a safe environment until they can be re-homed. Some of the cats will have a forever home here as they are feral and cannot be re-homed.

We started constructing Hectors House Crete in July 2010 and finally finished in April 2011. Hectors House Crete is situated on the edge of a pine forest just above the village of Vathi, near Agios Nikolaos, Crete.

Here we have special pens to house dogs individually, isolation pens , an exercise area and a large cat cage. Dotted around Hectors' House Crete there are small wooden houses which provide shelter for the cats during the winter months.

The purpose of this website is to make people aware of the plight of animals on Crete. To show you what we do and how we help these poor creatures. It's also a means to help raise much needed funds in various ways. Only so much money can be raised locally so we need to find other ways of raising the much needed cash required to feed, medicate and re-home the strays that come to Hectors House Crete.

Please take the time to look through the website and if you can help in anyway we and all at Hectors' House Crete would be very grateful.
